We are very glad to announce that the following paper out of the SmartenIT project received the best paper award at IEEE LCN'14:

Matthias Wichtlhuber, Peter Heise, Björn Scheurich, Julius Rückert, David Hausheer: vINCENT: An Incentive Scheme Supporting Heterogeneity in Peer-to-Peer Content Distribution. In: 39th Annual IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks, September 2014. http://www.ps.tu-darmstadt.de/fileadmin/publications/WHS14.pdf

The paper presents vINCENT, a novel incentive mechanism for P2P traffic management supporting heterogeneous nodes. vINCENT is one of several traffic management mechanisms developed in the SmartenIT project. The mechanism supports the end-user focused scenario (EFS) and addresses specifically the mobile offloading use case.
